Senior Account Manager
Hannah is a senior account executive, specializing in media relations and strategy, writing, social media, and more. She supports clients working on issues ranging from criminal justice reform to racial justice, affordable housing, gender equity, and education. She approaches her work with a passion for building the capacity of people and organizations that speak truth to power and do the right thing, even when it’s not easy.
Her projects at Spitfire include working with Dove to help pass legislation to end hair discrimination and support self-esteem in young people, supporting Housing California in its efforts to promote affordable housing and tackling homelessness through social media outreach and helping Closing the Women’s Wealth Gap create the most effective messaging to advance its strategies and raise its profile. She also oversees Spitfire’s social media channels and supports the firm’s efforts to market itself online.
Hannah was inspired to pursue a career in social justice after moving to D.C. in 2013 and learning about the many progressive groups doing important work on countless issues. Actually, the inspiration goes back to when she was 6 months old, the first of many times she accompanied her mom, a lifelong activist, to a community action meeting. Taking a class on communications and social change was especially pivotal in understanding how the strategic communications and advocacy worlds come together. Her career experience so far includes work in health and health care, public affairs, and social impact (as well as food service, retail, and childcare).
Outside of work, you can find Hannah talking about why Washington, D.C. is the superior city, taking long wandering walks that almost inevitably end at The Coffee Bar, reading or making a new Spotify playlist.
