Paris Kissel is a passionate communicator and media savant with a wide-ranging background in media relations, social media and human rights advocacy. Paris uses her ability to write creatively and to think critically to devise optimal communications strategies and to reach target audiences for clients and causes. Paris works closely with nonprofits and initiatives looking to break through the hectic media landscape and to create a narrative fitting of national media outlets and global attention.
Paris has secured media placement in top-tier publications and has established effective working relationships with reporters across the globe. She has overseen accounts spanning from international government’s human rights commissions to national nonprofits, such as the Alzheimer’s Association. Prior to joining Spitfire, Paris’s work has been diverse, from representing the country’s leading government technology companies to the world’s top luxury fashion brands. Paris is persistent when it comes to developing pitches, finding narratives in the media and conducting reporter outreach, because making sure her clients’ voices are heard is not only her priority, but her passion.
Paris is a published advocate for LGBTQIA+, domestic violence and mental health issues. These are all topics very close to her heart and she hopes that by speaking out she can encourage others to find solidarity in her words and do the same.
Paris previously served as a board member and community outreach coordinator for The Survivant Organization (TSO), a nonprofit dedicated to eradicating domestic and sexual violence. Paris served as a communications leader for the 2019 and 2020 DC NEDA Walk Committee to raise awareness and funds for the National Eating Disorder Association. Paris is a first-generation college graduate. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in mass communications and media studies and minors in English and organizational leadership from Arizona State University.
Paris currently resides in Panama City, Panamá. In her free time, she enjoys watching comedies on the couch with her dogs, Charley and Mulaney, making homemade pasta, reading fiction and Googling images of sloths.
