Sam’s intellectual curiosity drives him to develop creative solutions for people, brands, and issues. As a Colorado transplant from the Midwest, Sam’s passions are for the environment and conservation. Additionally, Sam’s love for global affairs shines through supporting Spitfire's international clientele. He believes that the key to any great communication plan or campaign is bridging cultural divides and forming relationships with those on the frontlines of an issue.
Before joining Spitfire, Sam interned with a number of political campaigns, where he discovered his passion for issue-based communications. He most recently worked on John Hickenlooper's successful senatorial campaign in Colorado. While in school, Sam was the chair of the Politics and Media committee at the University of Colorado’s Conference on World Affairs. One of his most challenging yet rewarding experiences was overseeing the planning and execution of the week-long conference with 100+ speakers and roughly 70,000 attendees.
Sam graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a B.S in strategic communications and a minor in political science. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, going to Red Rock concerts, and playing with dogs. He is always eager to plan his next international travel adventure.
