Senior Account Executive
Zach is a communications Jack-of-all-trades with a passion for crafting content that moves audiences to act. From leading Twitter-trending digital campaigns to writing talking points for members of Congress, Zach has spent the last five years creating and communicating to spark progressive social change.
At Spitfire, Zach harnesses his storytelling, messaging, and digital expertise to help clients communicate about their work in new, effective ways. Zach works on a variety of issue areas, ranging from economic and racial equity to protecting the environment and beyond.
Prior to joining Spitfire, Zach spent several years working within the sexual and reproductive health and rights space in Washington, DC. Most recently, he managed communications for SIECUS: Sex Ed for Social Change. At SIECUS, Zach led national campaigns and initiatives to change attitudes and push policies that advance access to sex education and reproductive health care – particularly for people of color, individuals with low incomes, LGBTQ+ people, and those living at the intersections of these identities. Zach also worked at The AIDS Institute, advocating to increase federal funds for HIV prevention and treatment programs and fending off efforts to discriminate against people living with HIV in health care.
Originally from Plymouth, Massachusetts, Zach graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in communications and a minor in women and gender studies. Outside of work, Zach can be found running to get (likely another) iced coffee or re-watching the HBO series, Veep.
