Alexandra Williams
Senior Account Executive
Alex Williams is an experienced, multilingual communicator with a background in nonprofit and corporate communications. An advocate at heart, Alex thrives on translating complex concepts – from how the U.S. can decarbonize its energy system to how health departments can incorporate equity into their practices – into accessible language.
From leading the Goldman Environmental Foundation’s first-ever livestream of their annual ceremony, garnering the highest number of actions taken on behalf of Prize winners in the organization’s 30-year history, to encouraging fellow colleagues to donate over $15,000 at NEXT Insurance’s first internal fundraiser, Alex is well-versed in inspiring broad audiences towards action. Having served as communications counsel to leaders of all stripes, including at Rakuten International where she led weekly all-hands meetings to audiences of 3,000, she enjoys empowering changemakers to deliver messages that move.
A firm believer in the power of visuals to win hearts and minds and as part of her work with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, Alex worked with a designer to produce a deck presented to Congress to drive attention around the National Academies’ report “Accelerating Decarbonization in the United States.” Her work with this client helped garner positive coverage from NPR, Grist and the Washington Post.
Originally from London, United Kingdom, Alex enjoys drawing, hip hop dancing and birdwatching; using her BirdNET app to capture her observances of shorebirds up and down the Bay Area, including around her home base of San Francisco.
