Kathryn Brooks

Kathryn is energized by working with people. She has 20 years of experience constructing simple and well-executed HR solutions for private and public sector employers.

As Spitfire’s director of human resources, Kathryn guides and directs HR services, policies, and programs for the entire organization. Kathryn is a creative problem-solver who values diverse perspectives, fosters collaboration, and believes in the power of lifelong learning. She is based in the Washington, D.C. office.

Kathryn held several positions in the field of human resources, including senior knowledge advisor for the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and director of human resources for the Superior Court of California in Santa Clara County. Kathryn began her HR career in Silicon Valley and later spent 12 years at the Judicial Council of California supporting HR professionals throughout the state’s judicial branch. Before moving to a career in HR, Kathryn earned her master’s in social work from the University of Michigan. She continues to be inspired by their vision: “A Better Society Through Individual and Social Change”.
