Senior Account Manager

 Gaby

Gaby is passionate about movements that spark conversations and policy changes related to racial and economic justice, as well as women’s and LGBTQIA+ rights. She comes to Spitfire with more than two years of experience working in communications for social change.

At Spitfire, Gaby supports projects focused on making technology more equitable. As our world becomes overwhelmingly digital, she is inspired by changemakers working to improve digital privacy, ensure rural and low-income Americans have Internet access and combat the spread of misinformation and disinformation online.

During her time at the University of Florida (Go Gators!), Gaby searched for opportunities to bring her passions to her on-campus life. After taking a course on public interest communications, she realized that her interest in social change movements could drive her future in communications. This led her to join the social media team for frank, where she researched and shared relevant insights for the gathering’s social media accounts.

Prior to joining Spitfire, Gaby began her work in social change communications at MagnifyGood, where she worked on initiatives focused on eradicating intergenerational poverty by improving third-grade reading proficiency, improving census participation, and closing the gap on the digital divide.

Gaby is a proud native of Memphis, where she gained a love for culture and good barbecue. Outside of work, she spends the bulk of her time traveling to new places, listening to podcasts, and hanging out at the dog bar with her rescue pup, Griz.
